Here is how it works:

• Using magnets or clothespins, all students start on the “Ready to Rock” stage each morning. When students exhibit positive behavior, they get to move “up” to the “Encore” stage and ultimately, the “Standing Ovation.” However, when students are not following classroom rules, they move “down” the chart. From “Ready to Rock” they will move down to “Intermission” and finally, “Tour Canceled.” This is a customizable tool because the teacher gets to decide the prizes/consequences associated with the chart.

How to assemble the chart:

• Print out each page on 8.5 x 11 paper, preferably on cardstock. I would recommend laminating the pages since this will be used daily. Personally, I think it works best if you then attach magnets the back of the pages and vertically adhere them to a magnetic whiteboard or filing cabinet. However, if that is not available to you, you can use ribbon or rings to vertically string the pages together. You will also need “pieces” (either magnets or clothespins) for each student, with either each student’s name or classroom number.
