So you’ve taught your students a new phonics skill – now what? They need opportunities to practice their newly learned phonics skill in the context of reading!

These Phonics Based Fluency Sentences provide targeted practice in the context of reading. The sentences are simple, allowing your students to focus on decoding words with the target phonics skill. You’ll find that these sentences are perfect for guided reading, centers, independent practice, and more!

There are two ways to use this resource!

1. Print, cut, and bind the sentences on a ring. Make a durable class set by printing on cardstock and/or laminating. Use during centers, guided reading, independent time, and more.
2. Print and copy a class set of the page(s) with the target skill(s) your students are learning. Have the students cut the sentences apart according to the dashed line. Then staple on the left hand side from a take-home book. Students can even use a yellow crayon to highlight target skill words!

Both color and a black and white sets are included!
