Your students are going to LOVE these Word Family Mazes! These mazes give your students the opportunity to practice blending sounds, reading CVC words and build fluency .

Once you explain the directions to your students, they will be able to independently use these mazes for centers, word work, independent work, morning work, and even a fun homework assignment!

Here is how it works:

• Start at the bolt.
• Look for a word in the designated word family (and color it). (Words must be touching side to side, and not at a corner).
• Students need to work their way to the robot.
• Once students have read and colored their way through the maze, they can practice reading the path. When they read, they are practicing rhyming and fluency.
• *Challenge students by asking them to read all the words in the maze, even the ones that do not belong in the word family!
